Human activity is the cause of global warming: fact or fiction?

Climate change is a noticeable alteration in global weather patterns that is maintained over a significant period of time, leading to an overall rise in the Earth's temperature - Global Warming.

Scientific records show there has been a rise in temperature that has lasted many decades - the melting of the polar ice caps, rising of sea levels, and the associated unpredictability of regional weather all point to this.

The debate that is gripping scientists, politicians and public is whether this is a natural cycle or due to human activity, with contributions from cars, factories, agriculture, CFCs - the list goes on!

The majority of scientists believe that human activity has made a natural phenomenon into a catastrophe. However, others equally strongly believe it is all down to nature.

Energy drinks: how high can they make you fly?

What is the truth? Can they really be enjoyed in moderation or is there no safe level for their use? Should they be banned, as in countries like Lithuania, which has banned the sale of energy drinks to anyone under the age of 18? Countries such as Norway and Denmark have not yet authorised their sale. Others sell energy drinks with warning labels.
